Caretrack database

Caretrack is our bespoke database for all continuing healthcare and funded nursing care information. This is a purpose-built, integrated database developed through our long experience of working within the continuing healthcare sector. We understand exactly what functions are needed, how to integrate them together and consider all relevant issues for IT systems within primary care.

  • Caretrack is the only fully web-based system on the market. This means there are absolutely no IT hardware requirements for your PCT, nor any additional workload, resource or cost issues for your IT department.
  • PCT staff can access the system anywhere and at any time, offering greater flexibility. All that is required is a browser and an internet connection. So when people move desks or work remotely for example, there is no delay waiting for them to be set up with access.
  • Rapid roll out: we can set up a new scheme immediately, without the delay associated with having to integrate with local IT systems. This is particularly helpful where clusters of PCTs are working together and need to work from a single system and when future changes to primary care commissioning are likely to take place.
  • Quicker updates and improvements in functionality: because the whole system resides on our server, we can quickly and easily add updates, rather than waiting for these to be added locally at each individual user’s site.

What about security?

Caretrack is highly secure. All traffic (not just username/password credentials) is encrypted, using the same principle as is now common in internet banking and internet shopping. The system has been reviewed and approved for NHS use by several NHS IT Governance teams.

What does Caretrack do?

Caretrack holds full clinical and financial information to allow you to run CHC/FNC effectively. As well as standard Patient Record information and narrative, the system also records: NOK, Care Packages, Provider Details, All Costs, Provider Payment, Review Scheduling, Electronic Document Storage, Letter Generation, Financial Forecasting and very extensive reporting (including Funded Care Report and Spend and Forecast Reports).

Caretrack can provide 40 different types of reports, which you can filter in different ways, for example by date range, funding stream or care category. All reports can be exported to Excel.

Set up, training and costs

We provide training to ensure your staff are able to use the system confidently and effectively. We can also work with you for a short or long term period on a consultancy basis to assist with implementing the system and bringing your internal protocols up to best practice. Costs are based on an initial set up fee, which includes training, followed by annual license fees thereafter. Consultancy costs are dependent upon scope.
