CHS Healthcare checks all information held on continuing healthcare. Many PCTs are paying for services not provided because care plans change and records are not updated.

We check every single care package to assess whether information held is correct and amend any details to ensure they are accurate. We call every single care provider to verify and update information. This is a time-consuming process, involving hundreds and sometimes thousands of patient records, which can be difficult for PCTs to undertake along with existing targets and priorities. However, care needs frequently change and inaccuracies can cost thousands of pounds because PCTs are paying for care no longer being delivered.
